The Moment by Douglas Kennedy was such a suprise in a good way in that it was much better than i could of ever expected. While i was drawn to the book by the setting of Cold War Berlin something i have been facinated by for many years what totally suprised me was how good the overall story was/5.   Don't Look Back is a book that has me SHOOK. I am so overwhelmed still, a few hours after finishing this book. I am so overwhelmed still, a few hours after finishing this book. I can't even put in words what I have thought and how I felt while reading this book/5.

Nearly all of the shape-shifting Lincolnian personae had a moment onstage: lawyer, politician, historian, mystic, preacher, : Adam Goodheart. Although the story is told through Gene’s point of view, his perception of Finny is most important as Finny develops psychologically throughout the book. A pivotal moment in Finny’s psychological development is Brinker’s investigation in Chap when Finny finally acknowledges it was Gene who pushed him and this changes Finny’s.

The pivotal moment I have chosen in the novel Great Expectations by Charles Dickens is Pip's experience during his first visit to Miss Havisham's house (Chapter 8). Pip went to her house to play, but he was appalled by Miss Havisham's strange behaviours, and badly insulted by Estella. So Pip finally left the house after he cried helplessly. The Pivotal Moments in American History book series by multiple authors includes books Washington's Crossing, Adams vs. Jefferson: The Tumultuous Election of , Crossroads of Freedom: Antietam: The Battle that Changed the Course of the Civil War, and several more.

Many consider ’s pivotal scene—in which O’Brien threatens to release the cage of rats on Winston’s face—an anticlimax. It has been argued that the cage of rats is not horrible enough to make the reader feel Winston’s torment, and that it is an arbitrary device, unrelated to the powerful, sophisticated workings of the Party.
